Our History
The core reason Broti exists is convenience and authenticity. When I first came to Germany, there were slim to none options for homemade style rotis. As a student, I got by with durums, yufkas, lavashs and sometimes even tortillas. Initially it felt kind of exciting and "foreign" to be eating our traditional meals with unknown flatbreads. But after the initial euphoria went down, the feeling of needing a chapati to break into our usual sabjis took over.
I tried out the chapatis from all the indian brands available, but none were up to the mark. Dry, chewy, full of preservatives, wrong texture, too thin, too thick, weird taste - take your pick. Eating naans everyday was not an option either. Making them at home now is of course an option, but the process is time consuming and inconvenient.
So through a passion for food and an engineering and research background, Broti was born. Broti aims to solve the two major issues that challenge families who need rotis - convenience and authenticity. One should not need to go to a specialty store just to get quality, authentic rotis. It should be as easy as buying something off of Amazon. Set it and forget it.
Subscribe to Broti and reclaim your evenings. No more settling for store bought substitutes or rushing to the shop at the last minute. Just fresh, authentic rotis delivered to your door, so you can focus on the food and the family, not the hassle.
